Jesus,

Your coming in a manger, Your death on the cross, Your resurrection, and all of Your ways of mercy tend to and end in my delight. You were not born into perfect circumstances. Our long-awaited King, shivering and in a manger lay. For our joy, You sent the Comforter. Preparing joy for us, and us for joy. Emmanuel, through your humble coming, you have given us more joy than we can hold, desire, or think of. Emmanuel, through Your humble coming we receive our future unspotted state. There is no Joy like the Joy of heaven. In this season, we experience the joy of heaven coming to earth, in the form of a tiny Lord Jesus wrapped in human flesh. Bring us to the land of Joy in our daily walk with you. In our rest, let us rest in the thought of Your love. You came as God in the form of a helpless child, as a servant for your people. And we know and believe that our forever Joy is soon to come. For you have said, “I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.” We await your coming with the Joy you have given us. We love you.
