Jesus,

You are the God who gives peace. You are the only source of peace that passes understanding. We praise You and acknowledge You for being our sustainer and sustenance. The birth of Jesus, the First Christmas, you sent the one who is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Your scripture tells us that even the angels cried out, ‘Glory to God in the Highest Heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.’ We recognize the fullness of God in the infant incarnate. Emmanuel, God with us as the baby Christ. We are able to have the fullness of peace in our hearts in this Advent season because that same Jesus sits at your right hand in heaven, and intercedes on our behalf. And before that, was the ultimate substitute for our sin debt.  Keep us in your perfect peace, Father. Remind us and recenter our minds in this season.
