City Serve

Why serve?

In the Old Testament, in the midst of exile, God told His people to work for the good of their city. As we worship together in Boston, we must work for the good of our whole city, together.

"Pursue the well-being of the city I have deported you to. Pray to the Lord on its behalf, for when it thrives, you will thrive.” (Jeremiah 29:7)

Now, we are inspired by Jesus to sacrificially serve. His death and life give us an example of serving, as we leverage our time and our treasures to pursue justice, at home and beyond.
